I just purchased a home and it is in my name. I want to put my girlfriend on it now...She pays half the mortgage payment so I want to add her name on the deed. Can I do it with a quit claim deed ? If so how do I go about it ?

Yup, a quitclaim deed would serve your purpose. Just check out some more details on quit claim deed so that you know what to do in order to make it a valid one.

farmertom you can add your girlfriend to title, but you may run afoul of your mortgage lender. the normal course of business is that you're not allowed to transfer title without making the lender aware of the change; and your loan could then become due and payable.

that last item is rarely enforced to the letter, but you'll want to contact the lender to ensure you're not putting yourself in harm.
