i am goind through a divorce and my spouse wants me to sign a quit claim deed to the marital property to her and she states that she will refinance in 2 years but i am reluctant to do so because of her past credit history. i really want the home just to be sold will the court force me to sign a quit claim deed?

no mention made of an attorney - i hope you have one. that's the source for information you'll need and with representation you'll have protection. of course, the court may rule in favor of your wife and order that you quit claim your interest to her. by having representation, you'll have the opportunity to state your desires quite well with the court.

Hi,

If she sued you to court & if court going through her favor then you have to follow court order to sign a quit claim deed.
