| my husbands grandparents quit claimed their property to my husbands brother, he in turn asked them to take out a second on the home to pay debt and buy a boat and that he of course would make the payments, well the payments have stopped leaving them to the grandparents which they are struggeling with, the grandmother is sick in the hospitial, and needs to placed in nursing facility, my husband suggested a reverse mortage to pay the second for them and have money for grandmother, for what ever situation happens, brother wont have it he has had back neck surgery and is very medicated very, and says thats his house and he is not signing anything, can we get him off the deed, they do live in arizona and i know the laws might be different there, if not i suggested to my husband that he get at least his own name off that deed so that the debt of that house does not transfer to him or us. just trying to help my husband out of this headache, another unbelievable situation of how people,(family) can be so greedy. |

Hello and welcome. Sorry to hear about this, that's a difficult situation. As far as I know, it's very difficult if not next to impossible to remove another person's name from title without their consent. You will need to talk to an attorney on specific options. Good luck. _________________ Mike Sweeney

| What would be the best way to remove an emotionally, and dependant husband out of the house before the situation turns critical? |

Hi
If he is on the title, you cannot remove him from there unless he signs it back to you through a deed. |
