If it is already foreclosed on it is probably toooo late to do a quit claim, I could be wrong, hopefully someone will come along with a little more experience and will give a more detailed answer on this.

Welcome Becky,

I suppose you're in trouble because if the deed has your name, then you'll be losing the home. Do you have your name on the loan too? and has the foreclosure just been declared? if that is so, then I suppose you can still have a talk witrh his lender and negotiate so that your name can be removed from the deed.

Hi Becky,

Welcome to the forum.

Is the property already foreclosed? If so then your ex cannot quitclaim it now and the foreclosure will affect the credit to some extent. Do you have your name on the mortgage too?

Best of luck,
Larry
