| Do I need to pay any fee for filing a deed if I still have a mortgage laon? |

Hi Marge,
You will have to pay certain fees like the stamp doc fees or the recordation fees when you file the deed with county recorder's office. It does not matter whether or not you have a mortgage loan, if you transfer title through a deed, you will have to pay these fees. By the way, did you inform your lender of this change in title? |

Hi MARGE,
Welcome to our forum.
You have to spend some amount for stamp documents as well as you have to pay your attorney's fees. You have to pay while you recording this deed in country record to make this valid. This all charges you must have to pay while you signing quitclaim deed.

Some states do charge fees for the transfer in terms of recording fees and some other.
If you are getting the ownership title through a quit claim deed then you are financially responsible for the property. In that case you have to pay the property tax. |
