my husband is on the loan for our house?My name is only on the deed
can I quit claim it over to him? Because he is thinking of a short sale or foreclosure? I want to get my name off the deed?

Because your name is on the deed, but not the note, your credit will be safe. It is the loan that is going bad, not the house. (:

If you name is on the deed, and the lender forecloses on the property, you name will be on the foreclosure. Bad for credit.
