If I sign the quit claim deed with them adding my husbands name am I giving up ownership?

I lived in my home for 23 years, I bought my home with husband, we divorced and he took his name off of the deed, I married again in 2003 I wanted to refinance on my own, but had jus lost my job so my husband signed for the mortgage because he was the only one working. Now out of the blue we get papers in the mail saying we have to resign a quit claim deed because they did not get signed the first time, I think it is fishy, can you tell me what you think?

Hello.

If you feel any thing fishy then contact an attorney and consult with him and review the deed. You can go for a title search also to find out who is on the title of the property.
