Several years ago I and at that time fiancee took out a loan to add an addition to my house. We signed a million papers that day and low and behold I later found out that I had also signed to Grant him 1/2 ownership to my property and he's presently on the Quit Claim Deed. I didn't know I had even signed 1/2 my property away. Now of course he has another woman and he wants to petition me in court to sell the property and he wants his 1/2 of the money from the sale of the property. Can I anyway change the Quit Claim Deed, as I at that time had no idea I had signed 1/2 my property away. I had already paid off $30,000 on the mortgage and spent over $90,000 of my inheritance on the property and he wants money to buy his new woman a house!

Hi SP,

You need to contact a Real Estate Attorney. I have some contacts here in CA. Your property was aquired prior to your engagement, and you have made improvements to it and put in $. Protect yourself and contact a RE attorney asap.

Hi Guest,

Unless your ex signs a quitclaim deed in your favor and transfers the property to you, it won't be possible for you to remove his name from the property deed. Nevertheless, as Chris has suggested, you can contact a real estate attorney and take his opinion in this matter.
