My ex boyfriend signed a quit claim deed to me . He is still co signer but since moved out. When he still lived here before signing the deed i filed for half of the homebuyers taxes and he didnt. After the deed was signed and him being gone i filed for the second half. Now he says it affected half of his taxes because he lost part of his share on the house . is he able to get half of taxes or half of the value? There was no money exchanged at any time

Welcome aozoomer,

If your ex-boyfriend's name is not mentioned on the property deed, then he is legally not liable to receive anything from the property. Nevertheless, it will be better if you could contact a real estate attorney and take his opinion in this regard.
