My uncle added my mothers name on his deed using a quitclaim deed a few years ago. My uncle has now past away. In his will, he left his house to someone else. Does my mother have any legal attachement to his house because of the quitclaim deed? Thank you. _________________ Need help choosing the right loan? Hi wally!
Welcome to forums!
As per the quitclaim deed, your mother will be considered the co-owner of the property. As the quitclaim deed comes into action during the lifetime of the grantor, I think it would be given more importance than the will.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

Yes - she can contest the Will. Her position will be much stronger if the Quit Claim was recorded. _________________ Raymond
