Vehicle titles are done through a state deparment for motor vehicles.

Vehicle titles are not the same as real estate titles. There is no such thing as a quit claim deed for personal property.

You can sign away your rights to the RV to your boyfriend, but that would not get you out of the responsibility for any loan you may have signed for on it. It would just leave you without the protection of owning part of the RV.

If there is no loan out against the RV, you can just sign the title over to your boyfriend any time you wish.

Hi candyce denton,

Quitclaim deed is not the right way to transfer the title of the vehicle to someone else. As Jheard has said, you need to contact the Department of motor vehicles in your state. If there is a loan on the vehicle, then it cannot be transferred and you will still be liable for paying it.

Thanks,

Jerry
