my brother passed, leaving his widow to continue to live in home till she moves out, then home would go to his daughter. the widow has moved out, and now lawyer said widow is ready to sign quit claim giving ownership to the daughter. no mortgage is owed on home. is there any provisions the daughter should look out for?

Hi lucy,

The daughter should check out the quitclaim deed before accepting it. If she has any doubts regarding the deed, she should clarify it with the lawyer.
