My mom has a mortgage on her home with my husbands name on it. We are already making that payment. She wants to sign deed over to us. Can we do a quitclaim deed without any problems?

Hi hambone!

Welcome to forums!

Your mother can sign a quitclaim deed and transfer the property to you. Then you and your husband can refinance the mortgage in your names. This will make both of you the owners of the property as well as the mortgage.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
