We just built a home and getting ready to close, the lender decided they didn't like some things on my credit so dropped me off the loan. I need to be added to the deed showing I still have interest in the property. (Long story on the reason).
Is it possible to Quick Deed me on the house without being on the loan?
Also, I am on all the building permits, and on the deed to the property where the house was built currently. Is it possible for us to move into the house before the closing? We have the cerficate of occupancy, just not sure what the builder would think. |

last question first - and here is my question: was this a construction loan, and you were the owner and borrower to begin with; and all you need now is a conversion loan to a standard amortizing loan? if all that is true, then i guess you could close now.
you ought to be able to have your name added to ownership by way of a quit claim immediately after closing. _________________ George M. Akerley

| It was a little more tech. than a construction loan. We had the builder carry the costs for construction, the home was built on a portion of acerage that I own. We had to quikclaim deed the section of property to both the builder and myself. My fiance is getting a standard loan for the home, and since I can't be on the loan, I will need to get my name on the deed. |

Hi aurelia!
Welcome to the forums!
You can definitely add your name to the deed and G.M Akerley says just after the closing. You can add your name with the help of a quitclaim deed. These deeds are available online but you can even draft them with the help of an attorney. Check out some of the sample quitclaim deed forms in the given link:

Feel free to ask if you have further queries.
