Hello, my mom and stepdad moved in 2001 and i moved in to their place at that time and took over all financial obligations. the property will be paid off this year and i am just wondering if a quitclaim deed is the best way to go to transfer the property into my name. the monthly payments are not made to a financial institution but they go to a 3rd party (previous owner)... thanks

deron, if they are the joint owners of this property at present, then a quit claim deed would seem to be the document of choice to transfer their ownership to you. you're certain that the previous owner truly did pass title to them, right?
