I filed bamkruptcy in Ohio, which included my home. While I was released from the financial responsibility of paying mortgage payments, the bank refusd the home but maintaineed the deed. As a result, I am still responsible for payimg property taxes and fines levied by the City for repairs on the home. Can I quit claim deed the property to my daughter who will assume financial repsponsibility and taxes for the home.

Hi Guest,

Once you quitclaim the property to your daughter, she will be fully responsible for it. She will have to pay the property taxes and pay other property related obligations. However, i do not understand what you mean by "the bank refusd the home but maintaineed the deed". Has the bank refused to take possession of the home and foreclose on it?

I think bank has not transferred the full equity to the person yet. That is what she wanted to convey.

Also for your doughter to take the financial responsibility of this mortgage, she may need to refinance the loan in her name
