i am contemplating divorce and was wondering if I quitdeed the house to my spouse, is there any reprecussions to purchase another home on my own.

If you file a quit claim deed and transfer the property to your husband, it won't affect your chances of getting a loan. However, if there is a mortgage on the property and you're on it, you should ask your husband to refinance it. If he does not refinance, then it would be difficult for you to qualify for a mortgage.
