I divorced in 1995 giving the mortaged home to ex in the divorce. In 1997 he signed a quit claim deed giving the home and mortgage back to me. in 2000 I moved to Houston area and he was allowed to rent home from me as long as he sent the house payments in and take care of the home, maintence, upkeep. I learned through computer research that he refinanced the home in 2003. I knew nothing of this. When I look up records thru the court house home is in my name. How was this refinance possible or legal?

In order to refinance the mortgage, the property and the mortgage should be in the name of your ex. You should contact him and ask him to explain the situation. He will be able to give you better clarifications in this matter.
