Hi, I am divorced and tried to refinance a house to remove my ex husband from it. I have his signed QCD. The refinancing did not go through, neither the name removal. What are my other options to remove the name from the house/deed.

Welcome OG,

As your ex-husband has signed a quitclaim deed, then it would be wrong to say that transfer of deed did not go through. You can record the deed at the county recorder's office and become the sole owner of the property. As far as mortgage is concerned, you will have to refinance it. Can you tell me why did not the refinance go through?
