| If my ex-spouse wont sign the quit claim deed what other options do I have...I was given 3 properties in our divorce settlement. My ex will not sign any papers to remove her name. I am now remarried and need to get this taken care of. What other options do I have to get my ex's name off the property? |

Was this settlement through the courts?
Have you considered consulting an attorney? You don't name the state where these properties are located & the laws vary by locale. The attorney may suggest a partition suit. _________________ Lynnette Phillips

Hi bradley.
Welcome to the forum. If you are awarded the properties according to the divorce decree then you should be the owner of the properties and your ex-spouse should sign the quitclaim deed. Take help from an attorney and ask your ex-spouse to sign to deed to you. She is legally bound to sign the deed to you.
Best of luck,

Go to divorce court and enforce your judgment. Contact a family law attorney. _________________ Disclaimer: This is not legal advice and I am not your lawyer.
