I was awarded 100% of interest in the house per divorce decree where my ex spouse is not required to file quit claim deed. My ex- will not sign quit claim deed anyways. How to remove his name from title/deed? Thanks.

Hi nadojelo!

Welcome to forums!

If you want to remove your ex-spouse from the property deed, then he will have to sign a quitclaim deed in your favor.

Just sign Quit Claim Deed. Get attorney involved for your own protection.

Thanks.

As I told before, he will not sign any legal paperwork. However, I AM the legal owner of the property. I do not understand how the attorney will be able to help me.

If he avoid to sign quit claim deed you can sue him in court by help of your attorney & after court order he must have to sign quite claim deed.

Thanks.
