My 88yr old mother has my name on a duplex she bought approx 30yrs ago. Because of family issues i would like to remove my name from the deed. What is the process of removing my name? The property is paid for. Thank you

Sincerely

judy

Hi juanme.

Welcome to the forum.

You can use a quitclaim deed and transfer your share of the property to other owners to remove your name from the deed. As the property is paid in full, you should not have any problems to transfer the property. BTW you should notarize and record the deed in the county recorder's office. Feel free to ask if you have any further questions.

Best of luck,
Larry
