If I have signed a quit claim deed am I responsible for the mortgage if my ex wife defaults?

if you were originally a borrower on that mortgage, and there's been no change, then you are still fully liable, whether she pays or not. the only way in which you are released from liability is if the loan is paid in full or the lender grants you a release. what transpired during your divorce? were these items not discussed? check back with your lawyer to make sure you find out how they handled this.

as long as she is not going for refi, you are answerable for mortgage payment
