seperated, is quit claim deed right

i am separated from my spouse, w have 2 homes. we wish to sign off on each property so we both have 1. would a quit claim deed be legal. i dont want her to have any rights to the home i live in

Hi vanesarose,

A quitclaim would definitely be legal. You can also use a Warranty Deed to transfer the property interest.

I think quitclaim is right option and its legal too. You can use quitclaim option.

you can use quit claim deed. however if both the houses are free of taxes & mortgages, warranty deed can be used
