I was divorced 15 years ago and transferred title our jointly owned house to my ex for a small amount of money. Now the county wants to put a pipe at the end of the property and require that both my ex and myself sign to give them permission. They tell me that my name is still on the title as joint owner. How do I find out if a quick deed was filed, if not, what are my rights.
Thank you |

Welcome sgoldstein,
Check with the county recorder's office to check on deeds or title transfers being filed. Was the deed notarized? If the title was never changed basically you have the same rights & liabilities as any property owner. _________________ Lynnette Phillips
