I want to add my name on my mother's deed because I do not want the nursing home if she goes in one to get her entire property. Is that a good idea she does have a trust.

Yes, In my opinion you can sign a quit claim deed to add your name on your mother's property.

Hi hellerb,

If your mother is eligible for Medicaid benefits, then you should remember that Medicaid has a look back period of 5 years in regards to property transfer. Any property transfer now would make her ineligible for Medicaid benefits for the next 5 years. To know more about it, check out the given page:
