Hi switchprincess,

Welcome to the forum.

If your uncle is buying you out that means if you quitclaim then he should pay you for your share of the property right. So why don't he pay for it. Contact an attorney take help form him so that your uncle cannot mislead you.

Best of luck,
Larry

You should have a written contract that specifies the amount you are to pay and that you will sign over the quitclaim deed. You can secure payment of the money by filing a Trust Deed.
