I tried to search for a quick claim deed form but all the websites come up with a "forbidden" message.
Also where do you record the new deed? At my towns tax collector maybe?

Hi Shooter,

You should be able to find one online...don't know why you would get that error. I know you can get them at your local office supply store, or of course, you can have an attorney draw one up.

Once you get it filled out, go get it notorized, and then just take it down to your county clerks office and get it recorded. There is usually a small fee involved. That's it!

Hi Shooter,

Welcome to the forum.

kpatrick has given you good info. I personally feel that one should take help of an attorney when he is doing a property transaction.

You should record the deed in the county recorder's office. If you do not record the deed it will not be considered as a valid deed.

Feel free to ask if you have any further questions.

Best of luck,
Larry

Hi,

You can get the state wise quitclaim deed forms at http://www.mortgagefit.com/predeal/quitclaim-stateforms.html

Have a look at it.

Hopes this helps.

Best of luck,
Larry

I would like to remove original owners from deed and add my name and my son's name to new deed.
