Are you talking about signing of any deed?

Yes, your wife would have to sign in TN. Not sure that there's one law in particular, but the interpretation is that the spouse has a statutory marital interest in the property.

The law is "Dower Rights"

In certain states a spouse is entitled to the assets of their spouse through marriage. If you are in a "Dower" state then your wife is only REQUIRED to sign a few documents authorizing you to open a loan that places a lien on the home.

In other words once you marry her she owns what you own.
