The house was purchased by me 25 yrs ago I am refinancing it and want to keep my new husbands name off everything to do with this house.I was told yesterday that his name will be added it is Fla law??

Hi dnowlin,

Florida is not a community property state. In that case, it's not mandatory for you to add your husband's name to the property deed. If you've a good credit and a steady income, you can refinance the mortgage on your own.
