Hello

My mother passed away last year and in her will she left her property to the four children. She still was paying on a mortgage with a balance of $130,000. How do we get the mortgage in one of the childrens name?

Hi roxybuck,

The child who wants to take the full responsibility of the mortgage dues will have to refinance the mortgage into his/her name. Once he/she does so, that person would become liable for the monthly payments.

Thanks
