my mother and I refinaced a home, I'm on the title but not the loan. I would like my name to be on the loan because I'm afraid if anything should happen to her, I would loose the house. Is this correct? we have a
trust and have issued all to each other in case of death. does this help.

Hi stipped,

If you refinanced the loan, your name should be on the mortgage. I think your mother refinanced the loan only in her name. That's why only her name appears on the loan.

If you want to add your name, you can talk with the lender. You may ask you to refinance the loan in your name or they may add you through a novation agreement.

Hi stipped,

Welcome to the forum.

As long as your family is paying mortgage on time, there will not be any problem. refinance of mortgage does not guarantee for your ownership right on property.
