I was a co-signer for a friend when he refinanced his house in 2006. His house was foreclosed on July 2008. Do I qualify for a home loan, if I work 30 hours a week, making $17/hour and have my brother as a co-signer, who has very good credit and makes $100k/year.

Hi rcervantes,

As you have a co-signer, you can qualify for a mortgage. You should contact the local mortgage lenders are start applying for a mortgage. If you and your co-signer meet the required criteria of the lender, you will be able to get a loan.

Yes, you can qualify for a loan that way. However, make sure that you get the best deals of getting lower interest rates and fees by consulting for a mortgage broker to assist you in your loan application.
