I am the primary on the mortgage, my ex boyfriend is the secondary. He lost his job and moved out. can I get his name removed from the mortgage if i refinance since i'm the primary without his signnature i have no idea where he is.

Yes, refinancing would allow you to take him off of the mortgage.

Hi ms jen,

You can definitely refinance in your name and remove your ex-boyfriend's name from the existing loan. If your current mortgage rates are on the higher side, you can also avail lower rates through the refinance. With the low interest rates prevailing in the market, it will be a really good time for you to refinance solely in your name, taking your ex's name off the loan.

Most certainly you can, the only thing you need to make sure you qualify for the mortgage on your own.

As long as you can qualify for the loan by yourself then you can refi the loan and get his name off the loan and it will be only in your name.
