I'll make the same offer, as a broker for Wachovia's portfolio products, formerly World Mortgage -- they have no limit as to properties owned, but the applicant should be a 'rock star' when it comes to his own 'portfolio.'

The rep is correct, but I believe the number is now 6 properties with WACHOVIA. However, when WACHOVIA bought WORLD BANK and their portfolio mortgage business a year ago, they kept the portfolio business intact -- this means that the portfolio division does not resell the asset they write in residential mortgages, so they can name their own underwriting guidelines -- Florida properties included.

I'm happy to discuss this further with you. Or, you can go back to your retail rep -- maybe he cannot offer the portfolio products 'over-the-counter.'
