I met with a broker today and sign all of the initial paperwork to refinance my house. After talking to a friend and another mortgage broker, I am getting a bad deal. The appraisal has been ordered but not yet completed. Can I just walk away from this deal.

Hi bhub!

Welcome to Forums!

You have the Right to Rescission. This right will give you the opportunity to cancel your loan within 3 business days of signing the loan documents and you will also qualify to receive a full refund of any monies paid. Speak immediately to the broker if you do not want to go ahead with the deal.

Feel free to ask if you have further queries.
