Reverse Mortgage definition of living in home

My mother is currently in an assisted living home. Ostensibly she will return to her home when she is able. She meets all other criteria. Can she get a reverse mortgage since she is planning to return home when and if possible?

She would need to live there at least 1 day every 12 months.
