What is the best program for over due Mortgage payment?

My Father is now living in his mothers home, she past away but left the property in my step-brothers name. Now my step-brother has moved out and my father is behind on the mortgage. My question is, Is there a reverse mortgage program that he can file or a program that could help him so he wont loose the property?

A reverse mortgage requires equity, is that in the property? It will have to be in his name, too.
