Please help me....My name is Deborah Murray. I am 59 yrs. old and was a Registered Nurse. I am on Soc. disability and have not been physically able to work for over 5 years due to (Systemic Lupus, cutaneous lupus, Sjogrens' syndrome, Addisons' disease, carpal tunnel syndrome, both hands, fibromyalgia, chronic lung disease, degenerative spine disease, and attetion deficit disorder). I am living with my 92 yr old mother in my childhood home. The home was supposed to be my inheritence because I am alone, disabled and both of my brothers are married and have plenty of money. My older brother set up a reverse mortgage for my mother to give her income for the past five plus years( I was not consulted. I am getting more ill with worry, what can I do?

Hi debi_murray!

Welcome to forums!

Once you turn 62 years old, you can refinance the reverse mortgage in your name and add your name to the loan. Once your name is added to the loan and the property, you will able to save it and stay in it though your mother passes away.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
