The reverse mortgage was in my mother's name. She passed away recently. I live in the same house. What are my options ? I want to remain in the home, but I can't afford to refiance, the balance is more than the home is worth. Please help me, thanks Sharlene.
Although it seems that balance is more than the price of the home currently but you can always negotiate with bank officials.
Haven't they made any proceedings towards taking control on that home yet? I hope if you can some amount ( may be they can settle down with some monthly installments) if that can be adjusted then surely you will have a nice chance to pay the bill monthly as that of rent and eventually you can keep your home with you. :wink:
