Hi Rori,As charlie mentioned, many lenders will finance the property as long as you can show proof that the issue has been resolved. speak with your broker/lender, they should be able to get a hold of the lending rep and review the situation to get a better feel for how the bank or underwriter would react. Best o' luckJ

The FHA loan is the best advice. However, if you are credit-worthy, you should be able to find a bank willing to close with proof the work has been completed within 30-days.Go to a broker in your neighborhood, or a bank that can write both FHA and conventional loan products -- try a credit union, as they are solid, but don't have the variety brokers do.

samantha, a 203k loan through fha ought to work in this situation. you'd be able to borrow sufficient money to do the work at the same time of the purchase.

I have some ideas for you. Give me a call at 770-886-3140 and I will go through them. Too much to type. FHA should work for you, but the key is in how you structure your offer to the seller. It can ABSOLUTELY be done.Kim
