Most conforming lenders will, their just gonna stip you to death with little details. Must be on permanent foundation, low LTV, excellent credit, etc. I am not a manufactured expert by any means, I gave up on that a long time ago.

Maybe someone will come along with some additional information.

Hi Jayboltz,

Manufactured homes are financed by specialized group of lenders but to obtain financing you need to have permanent foundation.

Regarding Flagstar, we do have a community member, Eugene associated with the bank. So, you can send him a pm, may be he'll be able to help you.

You can also find out lenders in our community who can help you out with such loans. For that you need to send in your request for mortgage quotes along with a few other details. As soon as your request reaches the community, it will forward it to lenders and they shall contact you in case they can offer you such a loan.

If you can give me some more details as to your credit condition and financial situation, it will be easier for me to give you any related suggestions. And, if you have further queries, please do not hesitate to ask.

Hope this helps...

God bless you.

Samantha.

Hi slbelson,

There are many banks and lenders who can finance your mobile home. But your qualification for the loan depends on a number of factors. How old is the mobile home that you want to purchase? does it need any repair? does it have a permanent foundation? What is your credit score?

Unfortunately, most lenders have gotten out of the doublewide business over the past year or so... but keep looking because there are a few good ones left.

TBW seems to be the most popular at the moment that I know of... we do still close a few with Bank of America but their turn times have slowed as the recent surge in business has backed them up.

Best of luck!

My boyfriend and I are trying to buy our first house and we found one that we like but when we went to get everything ready for it, we were told that no one would finance us because it was considered a modular home. Im wondering if anybody knows anyplace around Midland or Saginaw, MI that we can get financing?

Hi DEE,

Finding a mobile home loan lender is not easy in this market. Many of the lenders no longer offer loans for manufactured homes. Only a few of them in certain states still offer such loans. How good is your credit? Are you looking only for FHA-backed mortgages? You may go for a no-obligation free mortgage consultation with the lenders in this community. They will assess your financial situation, credit, etc. and will let you know if you qualify for a mobile home. If any of them still offers mobile home loan and you qualify for it, he should be able to help you with the loan.
