My sister, my mother, and I were given a piece of property upon my grandmother's death 20 years ago. I have never had anything to do with the property and would like to remove my name from the property and my sister would too. We want to know if a quit claim deed is what would be needed in SC. The property is owned free and clear and has no building on it. It truly is a piece of dirt that has been in my family for over 50 years.

Welcome Guest,

Your sister and you can sign a quitclaim deed and transfer the property to your mother. Notarize and record the property deed once you sign it in favor of your mother.
