My husband and I own a building lot free and clear in SC. We would like to transfer ownership of that lot from our names to my LLC (with him as a member). I understand that we can do this ourselves using a quit claim, but is there anything else I should know?

Welcome Rene,

After transferring the property into an LLC with the help of a quitclaim deed, you need to notarize and record the deed. As the lot is free and clear, I don't think you would face issues in transferring the property into a LLC.
