In Tennessee, what is the process if a wife has passed away a few years back, the husband has gotten remarried, and the new couple wants to sell their house? Do they just need to give the closing attorney the death certificate or will it be a timely process?

Hi

Who is listed on the title? You, your deceased wife or both? If the property is still in your deceased wife's name and she died without any will, you need to file an affidavit of heirship with the probate court so the property could be divided as per the laws of intestacy. Is it a community property and are you listed on the title as joint tenants with right of survivorship?
