Bank is demanding payment of balance, and I sure don't have it if I had to have my home foreclosed. I even lost my $20,000 down payment when they foreclosed, yet they still insist I owe more. I think they could have sold the home for more than they did.

As far as I know, Tennessee is a state wherein the lenders can sue the borrowers for the deficient amount. You can also check out the given link, wherein one of our community member has answered your other query:
