My uncle recently passed away he had a piece of land in TN and his mothers name was on the deed with his, he did have an estranged daughter in FL, will his mother get the land or will his daughter be entitled to half?

Hi jake,

Your uncle's daughter can file an affidavit of heirship and claim her father's share of the property. However, if the property was owned as joint tenancy with right to survivorship between your uncle and his mother, then his mother will be the sole owner of the property after his death.
