jody martin Guest	Posted: Tue Jul 05, 2011 6:52 pm    Post subject: quit claim deed creates gift tax liability? Like 0 Dislike 0 2 brothers own a home, that was left by the parents. The estate has been settled for 3 yrs now. One brother wants to pull his interest, out and thinks it will create a gift tax burden. We are in Tennessee. Can we just use a quit claim form?

It will be a better option to consult an attorney and take his opinion in this regard. Thanks
