if a seller counter offer's and i accept, does law require them to sell to me? or can they sit on the offer for a higher bidder?(in texas)

Welcome to the forum.

Has the seller signed any real estate contract? If the seller has not signed any real estate contract then the seller can sell to any other bidders.

BTW I think you can consult with a real estate attorney on this topic.

I suppose once the bidding is over, the highest bidder gets to purchase the home. And this applicable in all states.
