My brother and wife hold title to home in Texas as joint tenants. Wife died. How does my brother change title in his name only? Secondly, my brother has all other property in a Trust. How does he then transfer title to his home into his Trust?

Hi rrucoba,

If the wife has not left any will, then he will have to file an affidavit of heirship at the county recorder's office and transfer the property in his name. Once the property is transferred in his name, he should contact an attorney and transfer the title of his home into his trust.

Thanks
